Digital Printing
New printing technology in which electronic files are used to create images on the press. Usually used on short runs, generally 500 or less. Benefits include faster turnaround times, and the ability to personalize documents.

Screen Printing
Silk-screen printing is widely used today for a large array of display materials where the final print run is not large. It is also suitable for large posters and sheets that would be impractical to run on a traditional offset press and for a wide variety of large, thick or heavy materials.

Offset Printing
A method of printing in which the inked image is transferred to an intermediary support, such as the rubber cylinders of an offset press, and from that to the sheet of paper. This term most often designates a print reproduced commercially in fairly large runs, or one that is photomechanically reproduced.

Color Separations
The photographic or electronic means of separating artwork into cyan, magenta, yellow and black components. Two or three color jobs also need to be color separated before printing.
